Descripción general

AEM Developer

Support design, build and test web-based applications for various site components and edit site content. Program the codes that dictate web page elements for positioning, styling and sizing information. Create and manage web pages, add/edit content and upload/remove documents using CMS or platforms, using semantic markup language i.e. HTML/XTMTL/CSS/JS, to turn static Photoshop designs into working browser based web pages or emails.
Key Responsibilities
oAwareness and Communication
oCreate awareness amongst different functions on importance of intranet for sharing the information
oResearch and reach out to various stakeholders to get updated content for sites
oContent uploading, gathering and Maintenance
oEnsure content upload as per defined final user appraisal best practices
oManage timely update and accuracy of uploaded content
oInteract with different functions and stakeholders to ensure updated content is uploaded to the site
oKeep track of changes to intranet to identify gaps in updating the intranet
oThe Web Developer is expected to utilize best practices in web screen design as well as learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements
oDomain Management Service
oManage the execution of website decommissioning including, archiving, communications and harvesting processes as agreed with the client
oUpdate, maintain and troubleshoot existing websites
oSupport and troubleshoot the day to day technical needs for existing websites
oThe front-end developer works with software engineers and developers to implement their backend work with interactive templates
oLayout Management
oMaintain the layout of intranet as per the defined intranet guidelines
oWeb Development
oPlan and perform module development
oDocument technical specifications and design
oAnalyze system requirement and system specification
oAnalyze new module develop AEM Developer

oKnowledge of web development basic standards and best practices on XHTML and HTML5
oPerforming updates of HTML copy and images using an already installed CMS
oDevelop HTML layouts from scratch using XHTML and HTML5 tags
oKnowledge in HTML5 video, audio, canvas, SVG, forms validation and new semantic tags
oIntegrate HTML pages and modules with a server side structure - architecture
oDevelop static website architecture from scratch
oProgramming background
oHTML5 support for older browsers
oCSS (CSS1, CSS2, CSS3 Crossbrowsing, pixel perfect concept, validation)
oKnowledge of web development standards in CSS
oKnowledge of concepts like resets, pixel perfect, cross-browsing
oPerform fixes in CSS
oDevelop CSS style sheets from scratch
oKnowledge in CSS selectors and CSS3 properties (round borders, gradients, nth-child, etc)
oUnderstanding of responsive design implementation and media queries
oMobile Layouts Development
oRetina Display
oCSS Reset / Normalize
oJS (DOM, Core, JSON, AJAX, Frameworks: jQuery, Node, Backbone, AngularJS)
oJavaScript language concepts: variables, statements, functions, operators
oKnowledge of web development basic standards and best practices for
oJavaScript (for example: unobtrusive events)
ojQuery or similar framework (selectors, events, effects, animations and AJAX requests)
oDOM Manipulation
oBasic knowledge of JavaScript libraries and components
oIntegrate and customize JavaScript modules or plugins
oUnderstanding of JSON syntax
oFront-End Tools
oSolid knowledge using web development and testing tools: Firebug, Web
oDeveloper Toolbars for Chrome, Safari, IE
oIntermediate knowledge in SVN (checking out repositories, understanding the branch, tag and trunk concepts)
